The Danish Model United Nations Society has been active since March 2006 and arranged several conferences and events since then. In this section you will find a brief summery of the most important

 

DanMUN2009 - 4th International Student Conference

 

  • Date: October 12th - 17th, 2009
  • Where: CBS - Copenhagen Business School
  • Description: DanMUN International Student Conference 2009 was the 4rd international conference held by DanMUN. As usual it was attended by nearly 50 students from more than 16 different countries, this year discussing the crisis scenario of Afghanistan.

DanMUN2008 - 3rd International Student Conference

 

  • Date: October 14th - 19th 2008
  • Where: CBS - Copenhagen Business School
  • Description: DanMUN International Student Conference 2008 was the 3rd international conference held by DanMUN. Like the previous international conferences in 2006 and 2007, DanMUN2008 was also attended by almost 50 students from more than 20 different countries.
  • The scenario: Concerned the conflict in Kosovo. Besides simulation the conference also featured a lecture of MP Steen Gade (SF), late night debates, and numerous social events. Find the complete scenario here. You can also find the complete program for the conference here.

DanMUN2007 - 2nd International Student Conference

 

  • Date: October 16th - 20th 2007
  • Where: CSS - University of Copenhagen
  • Description: DanMUN International Student Conference 2007 was the 2nd international conference held by DanMUN. These annual conferences are the cornerstone of the work of DanMUN and much anticipated throughout the year. Like the previous international conference in 2006, DanMUN2007 was also attended by students from more than 20 diffirent countries.
  • The scenario: was situated around the conflict in the Democratic Republic of the Congo; Africa's first world war. Besides simulation the conference featured a visit in Parliament by MP Jeppe Kofod (S), late night debates, and numerous social events. DanMUN/DIS miniMUN 2007

 

  • Date: March 3rd 2007
  • Where: Danish Institue for Study Abroad in Copenhagen
  • Description: DanMUN DIS MiniMUN March 2007 was the second one-day MUN held by DanMUN. The conference was arranged together with Danish Institute for Study abroad in Copenhagen. The conference featured the same scenario as in the miniMUN at Southern University of Denmark. Approximately 20 students from DIS and 20 students from other institutions participated.

 

DanMUN2006 - 1st International Student Conference


  • Date: November 8th - 12th 2006
  • Where: Provianthuset (Danish parliament building)
  • Description: DanMUN International Student Conference 2006 was the first international conference held by DanMUN. The conference was attended by approximately 40 students from more than 20 different countries. The scenario revolved around the conflict about Kurdish independence in northern Iraq. Besides simulation the conference featured city hall visit, late night debates, visit at the foreign ministry, and numerous social events.

University of Southern Denmark - 1 day conference in 2006


  • Date: August 11th 2006
  • Where: University of Southern Denmark
  • Description: Conference at University of Southern Denmark was the first conference held by DanMUN. The conference was a one-day MUN held for participants in the university level course International Negotiations at University of Southern Denmark. Approximately 25 students attended the conference. The scenario revolved around the Palestinian-Israeli conflict and the stop of subsidiaries to the Palestinian authority.
